Botox is much more than a simple injection. Its field of use in medicine is expanding day by day.
Although its most common use is for “mimic wrinkles on the face”, it is also used for hand, foot and armpit sweating, opening of spastic muscles, excessive contraction of jaw muscles and teeth grinding, hair oiliness, suppressing the release of hormones that trigger hunger in saliva and other glands and even in the stomach

Botox “Temporarily” cuts the connection between muscles and nerves. Thus, muscle contraction in the target tissue stops.

It is wrong to say that Botox will last 6 months for everyone. The average shelf life of Botox is 4 months. However, its effect may last up to six or seven months for some people.

Duration of botox

1- Depending on the amount of Botox injected into the skin
2- Depending on the brand and pharmacological properties of the Botox given
3- It varies depending on the speed at which the person removes Botox from the body.

If the person’s immune system is strong and her/his metabolism is working well, the body will eliminate botox faster. At this point, the botox dose given is also important. When a small amount of Botox is given, the body is expected to naturally excrete it faster.

There are a few botox brands in the world that have proven themselves and received approval from the health institutions of the countries. However, increasingly, imitation and fake botox products are being introduced to the market day by day.

Botox corrects mobile wrinkles on the face. It does this by temporarily immobilizing the facial muscles.

Botox does not give volume. The application that gives volume is “Filling Injection”.

Fillers and botox are two different applications that are often confused. Botox treats mobile wrinkles. Filling fills the pits, gaps and fixed lines.

Botox and fillers are not alternatives but complements of each other.

When applying Botox, attention should be paid to the person’s facial anatomy, social position and wishes. Not everyone’s facial structure is the same. For this reason, not everyone can receive Botox in the same way.

After having Botox, the person should be careful between 1-3 and avoid activities such as excessive sports, massage, face rubbing, Turkish bath-sauna, and alcohol consumption.

The effect of Botox begins within a day or two after application and becomes fully established within ten to fifteen days. Its effect diminishes over time.
