Mini Abdominoplasty (Miniabdominoplasty), as the name suggests, is a small form of the “Full Abdominoplasty” operation.
In a full abdominoplasty, the abdominal muscles are intervened throughout. The abdominal skin is completely separated from the abdominal muscles and a comprehensive operation is performed. The belly button is created again.
In Mini Tummy Tuck, the abdominal skin is not completely separated from the abdominal muscles. The belly button is preserved as it is. The sagging abdominal skin is cut and removed. If necessary, a partial folding/tightening of the abdominal muscles can be done. More fat can be removed in Mini Tummy Tuck compared to Full Tummy Tuck. The surgery scar remains at lower levels. The belly button is preserved in its original state. If the person’s abdominal muscles are tight enough, the surgery will be more successful.
Suitable candidates for Mini Abdominoplasty are people with tight abdominal muscles, mild mid-abdominal fat, and sagging lower abdominal skin.
